If you're a fan of color and fashion, you may remember a few years ago when emerald green was everywhere, and was the color of the year in 2013. The wedding world embraced this color so much, and I did too here on Dress for the Wedding. Back in late 2012 and in 2013 so many dress collage was emerald green!
I've taken a little two-year breather, and dabbled some in Radiant Orchid (color of the year for 2014), and Marsala (color of the year for 2015), and I decided today that that with the advent of fall weddings in a few weeks, I'm ready to do another emerald look. I'm hoping that this bronze shade -- a fun take on the popular copper rose gold colors we saw start a few years ago-- makes this a regal and rustic look. There's no denying this shade of emerald green is beautiful for a wedding, especially in fall and winter.
While I'm showing a bridesmaid style suggestion with the flowers and the invitations to match, this also makes a beautiful black tie-appropriate gown for a wedding guest or gala event. This also leads me to wonder - what will the color of the year for 2016 be? I'm hoping for some sort of unique blue or perhaps something bright and sunny. Time will tell!
