We're seeing the look in wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride dresses are now showing off a little shoulder too! Sometimes called a portrait neckline, this style flatters the face, shows off the shoulders and creates an elegant look that has charm and just the right amount of smoldering appeal!

Beaded Off the Shoulder Gown
When I saw this gown I thought it was blush, but the color lists it as champagne. As stunning as it is from the front, the back of the gown is even more lovely. It's part of the reason I especially love it for a wedding - it allows the wearer to give guests a view going down the aisle procession, or while dancing! This gown is by La Femme, which is emerging as one of my favorite picks for mother of the bride - the styles are formal, flattering, but always with an eye to what is on-trend. I styled it with bold earrings that seem to mimic some of the beading in the back of the gown, and will stand out against those bare shoulders! The sandals are also embellished, but the subtle colors keep this look fairly neutral, but also ornate enough for a special occasion.
